The Görög sisters piano duo continued the promotion of their CD “Let’s play“. The promotion was held in the hall of Collegium Hungaricum in Belgrade (Serbia) on February 22, 2016.
The Görög sisters piano duo released their first album in Electe Production and also recorded three promotional videos. The videos were recorded on short movements of Bartók’s Mikrokosmos, and were named: Inversion, The Wall and Perpetuum mobile.
Considering the fact that the hall of Collegium Hungaricum in Belgrade has only one piano, the Duo performed a variety of dances for piano four hands from Romanticism and the 20th century. The Belgrade audience had the opportunity to hear works of Johannes Brahms, Samuel Barber, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Maurice Ravel.
As a sign of attention to the mission of Collegium Hungaricum, which represents the expansion of Hungarian culture into the Serbian capital, the repertoire of the concert included Johannes Brahms’s Hungarian dances.
“Years of performing experience has shown us that it is always worth taking the dances as the theme of the concert. This program was premiered in Belgrade and the atmosphere of the concert was unique. My sister and I completed our academic studies in Belgrade, so it is therefore always a great pleasure to play in this city. I would like to take the opportunity and thank Dezső János for the support and organization of the concert“ says Görög Noémi, pianist.
