April 10 – May 18, 2017

You are cordially invited to the concert by the ‘Görög Sisters’ piano duo, to be held on Tuesday, April 18,  at the Rector’s Office Assembly Hall (Dugonics square 13.). The program includes pieces by Mozart, Schubert, Dvorák, Brahms, Liszt and Rachmaninoff. The concert is part of the XIV. University Spring Festival.

The University Spring Festival is a traditional spring series of events, organized this year for the 14th time by the Cultural Office of the University of Szeged. The program features scientific, cultural, sport, and entertainment events, faculty days, conferences held in various locations on campus and around the city – basically, all sorts of university events other than classes that will delight the wider audience.

In the 6 weeks the public will have a choice of close to 300 programs taking place at 55 locations. The programs are free of charge.

About Festival

“This classy festival includes scientific and popular lectures, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, book premiers, cultural and entertainment programs taking place at locations on campus and around the city. The majority of events is free of charge for all members of the university and the general public. At the Rector’s Office Atrium the audience can see the traditional photo exhibition. Concerts will be held at the Rector’s Office Assembly Hall. Younger generations can enjoy concerts and parties at the JATE club. This year’s Poem at noon event will be organized in reference to the János Arany memorial year at the statue of Albert Szent-Györgyi, where a poem will be presented each day exactly at noon.

The spring series of events is the 14th in line organized by the Cultural Office of the University of Szeged with the aim of shining a light on all the intellectual, cultural, artistic and scientific capital, kept under the guardianship of our students, professors, researchers, and staff, providing an ample source for this year’s spring festival.”
