On 13th and 14th November we played at the contemporary music festival, The Day of Listening at Budapest Music Center. Here is Alexandra Ivanoff’s review of our opening concert.

Section V was a Fellini-esque carnival, ending with a sadistic tango juxtaposed with Hungarian folk dance themes; and VI began with Brutalist chords á la Shostakovich and Prokofiev and ended with a Soviet threnody. I add here, with reverence, that the sisters played this suite from memory.
